DIRECTIONS TO

CANYON BAIT HOUSE

From I-35 and 3009 at Garden Ridge:

Exit FM3009 off of I-35N turn left back over I-35 and head West thru Garden Ridge.  Stay on 3009 past 7 Hills Ranch and Natural Bridge Caverns all the way to 1863 (4 Way Stop).  Go straight on 3009 another approx 4 miles and 3009 will dead end at 46.  Turn left on 46 and go approx 2.5 miles.  46 veers to the left and 311 slightly right.  Take either one-46 to the bottom of the hill and right at the light onto 3159 or 311 for 1.3 miles to stop sign at 3159 and turn right.  ## Follow 3159 to the top of a big hill and then come to the bottom to a light at 2673.  You will see a Super S Grocery and McDonald’s straight ahead.  Turn left and ** go past a Dairy Queen.  Continue for about 2 ½ miles and will come to a SAK-n-PAC Shamrock and a Exxon Speedy Stop on right.  Continue for 1 mile further (around the curve, down a hill and back up).  Just past top of hill you will see CANYON BAIT HOUSE on the left.  We are approximately ½ mile from Cranes Mill Park and the FREE public fishing dock.  15605 Cranes Mill Road.  (830) 899-9747.

From 281 and 46

Take 281 North to the Hwy 46 Exit (New Braunfels/Bourne) and turn right.  Go approx 4.5 miles past Smithson Valley High School (on right) to the light.  Turn left on 3159. From here follow the directions starting at the ## above.

From I-35 and Walnut St in New Braunfels:

Exit Walnut St, go to light and turn left under I-35 (west)

Continue on Walnut street (46) go past HEB, across San Antonio St and under Loop 337.  Continue on 46 past Newcombe Tennis Ranch.  At bottom of hill turn right onto FM 2722 (flashing light).  Stay on 2722 for about 9 miles where you will come to a “Y”.  Take the “Y” to the left.  At stop sign turn left onto FM 2673.  Stay on 2673 and you will pass Dollar General on the right.  At the bottom of the hill (light) there will be a Super S Grocery and McDonald’s on right follow directions as above from the **.

From I-35 and 306

Take 306 west for approx 15 miles to the Guadalupe River crossing and the light at 2673.  Take a left on 2673 and go thru Sattler.  Continue for a total of approx 12 miles thru Startzville.  You will pass all the landmarks noted above along 2673 before getting to Canyon Bait House.
